1Introduction & Acceptance
RentDo24 ("RentDo24", "we", "us", or "our") operates a hyper-local real estate and rental matchmaking mobile application that connects property owners, landlords, and agents ("Owners") with individuals seeking PGs, hostels, flats, and rooms ("Seekers"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use, store, and protect it, and the choices you have regarding your information.
By downloading, registering on, or using the RentDo24 application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the application.
2Information We Collect
To operate the matchmaking platform and connect Owners with Seekers, we collect the following categories of information directly from you or automatically through your use of the app:

Location access is used to show you rooms, PGs, and flats near you, and to help Owners list properties at accurate addresses. Call logs (duration and connection metadata, not audio recordings) are captured when calls are placed through our masked in-app calling feature for safety and dispute-resolution purposes.
We collect a mobile phone number from every Seeker at the time of sign-up, and separately from every Owner who registers on RentDo24.
Adding a phone number while creating or uploading a property listing is entirely optional for Owners. An Owner may choose to list a property without providing a phone number, in which case Seekers can only reach them through in-app chat.
If an Owner chooses to add a phone number to a property listing, that number is displayed publicly on the listing and is visible to any user who views that property on the Platform. Seekers may use this number to call the Owner directly, including outside the app. Owners should add a phone number to a listing only if they are comfortable receiving public calls and messages on that number.
A Seeker's own phone number is never displayed publicly on the Platform; it is only shared with an Owner if the Seeker chooses to initiate contact with that Owner.
3Data Storage & Infrastructure
We use industry-recognized, secure third-party infrastructure providers to store and process your data:
- Google Firebase — used to store user profile data, property listing text data, and in-app chat/message logs. Firebase provides encryption in transit and at rest, along with access-controlled databases.
- Cloudflare R2 (CDN) — used to host and deliver user-uploaded property images at high speed and reliability across India.
These providers act as our data processors and are contractually and technically restricted from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to RentDo24.
4How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and verify your identity
- To display relevant property listings based on your location and preferences
- To enable in-app chat and calling between Owners and Seekers
- To send you notifications about new listings, messages, and account activity
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, scams, fake listings, and abuse of the platform
- To comply with applicable Indian laws and respond to lawful government or judicial requests
- To improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
5Law Enforcement & Legal Compliance
RentDo24 strictly and fully cooperates with Indian Law Enforcement Agencies, Cyber Crime Police, and Courts of Law. We reserve the unconditional right to disclose and share any user data — including chat logs, call metadata, phone numbers, email addresses, IP addresses, device information, and uploaded content — with police, investigating agencies, courts, or government authorities in connection with a criminal investigation, court order, subpoena, or lawful request, without prior notice to or consent from the user.
This includes situations involving fraud, cheating, harassment, cybercrime, threats to personal safety, or any other suspected violation of the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, or any other applicable Indian law.
We may also proactively report suspected criminal activity, fake listings, or scam attempts to the appropriate authorities at our sole discretion, in the interest of user safety and platform integrity.
6Account & Data Deletion Rights
You have full control over your data. The RentDo24 app includes an in-app "Delete Account" feature accessible from your profile settings.
- Selecting "Delete Account" triggers an automated Cloud Function that permanently and irreversibly erases your profile data, all properties you have listed, and your complete chat history from our Firebase database.
- Property images associated with your account are also permanently removed from Cloudflare R2 storage.
- Once deletion is confirmed, this action cannot be undone and RentDo24 cannot recover your data.
- We may retain limited data (such as transaction or fraud-investigation records) for a reasonable period where required to comply with a legal obligation, resolve an active dispute, or enforce our agreements, after which it is also permanently purged.
7Age Restriction — 18 Years and Above
RentDo24 is intended strictly for use by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from, or provide services to, minors. Any account found or suspected to belong to a person under 18 years of age will be terminated instantly and permanently, and all associated data will be deleted, without prior warning.
If you become aware of an account belonging to a minor, please report it immediately to support@rentdo24.in.
8Third-Party Data Sharing Policy
RentDo24 does not, and will never, sell, rent, or trade your personal data — including your phone number, email address, chat content, or location — to real estate brokers, telemarketers, advertisers, data brokers, or any unauthorized third party for their independent marketing or commercial use.
We only share data with:
- Infrastructure processors strictly for the purpose of running the app (Google Firebase, Cloudflare R2)
- Law enforcement and courts, as described in Section 5
- Other users, limited to what is necessary for the matchmaking function — for example, a Seeker's contact details being shared with an Owner they choose to message, and an Owner's phone number (if voluntarily added to a listing) being displayed publicly to all Seekers viewing that property, as described in Section 2
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, subject to the same privacy commitments
9Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access-controlled cloud databases, and restricted internal access to personal data, to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10Your Rights
- Right to access and review the personal data we hold about you
- Right to correct inaccurate profile information at any time via the app
- Right to permanently delete your account and associated data as described in Section 6
- Right to withdraw location permission at any time via your device settings (this may limit app functionality)
- Right to lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer at the contact details below
11Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. Material changes will be notified via an in-app notice. Continued use of RentDo24 after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
